Skin
I bend, prick, wholly cold, she touches ice when I
Spin like round top in her mind to find this weed grown for me
Behind a patch of resolve, hop skip and a jump her chain letter lives leading lies like I’ve ever won
So I make amends and I turn my back
You’ll sharpen these thoughts that draw only blood when I ask
Who I am
Who am I, am I us, every body here for you?
Well I guess there you go, hold your head, I’ll split this page up with love instead
What got in your mouth?
Is it more of the same? Have half lips, hold half breath all smiles and games
Make you to bend to your toes, reveal me one honest face
Repeal your manicured lust and I’ll crush umbilical’ed veins
And beg, and beg for
You to give all you got and fuel my blood with the blame
And burn every bone, and sign every name; every tear, every wish every kiss every taste
Here we live, here we’re young, every body here for you
Well I guess there you go, hold your head, I’ll rip this poem up with love instead
You’ll never understand, you’re under it all
Just leave me alone
You’ll never understand me, you’ll never understand it, you’ll never understand if you’re under it all
Just leave me alone
Just leave me alone
She wants to learn (but never), she won’t fucking learn, not ever
She molds herself around broken earth, covering soft spots on proud mud and dirt, what doesn’t stick gets scraped from her soft shell, she grew a tree of branches and leaves, hung her stem around flesh, oh but you’re free to dream, of (how you’ll never get) just getting ripe baring her fruit sharing her flowers and buds, she dropped her home and the safety of bark to grow, all for the sake of there below, waiting I hungry wolf, with love. Hold me
She moves like I wish I could, always peppering her steps with the act of concern, and always the smooth bow to forgive this quick step to forget, I know I’ll never impress; But I did, and I can bruise a peach changing the pink into blue, faking her tears for mine, realizing it all too soon. I won’t peel the skin to swallow the meat, I’ll blame the pleasures you were, you wore, you whore.
Alone
You’ll live pretending you love it,
You’ll love ‘til your throat hurts
You’ll give ‘til your gut burns
And be so alone
You’ll never understand me, you’ll never understand it, you’ll never understand if you’re under it all.
Just leave me alone
She wants to learn, but never, she won’t fucking learn not ever.
